
Christine Jacobson | VP Finance & Business Resources
Christine (Chrissy) attended Illinois Central College, where she obtained an associate’s degree in accounting. After gaining some work experience, she pursued further education and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois – Springfield. Furthering her skill set, Christine passed the CPA exam and became a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Illinois for eight years.
Christine’s professional journey began at Clifton Gunderson & Co. in Peoria, IL where she worked for seven years in the administrative offices under the Controller, handling accounts payable and payroll. She then spent approximately a year at QST Corporation in Peoria, IL, where she worked on accounting for multiple entities during the electric deregulation pilot in Illinois.
Christine then returned to Clifton Gunderson & Co., where she served twelve additional years as a member of the firm’s technology group as the Office Administrator, Marketing Coordinator, and HR/Financial Reporting specialist. The technology group managed internal computer systems and provided technology consulting services to clients.
Christine continued her career at Clifton Larson Allen (formerly Clifton Gunderson) in Peoria, IL, for two years where she worked in the Entrepreneurial Business Services/Outsourcing Services division. Here, she provided accounting services to small and medium-sized business clients. Later in her career, Christine joined Aluminum Castings Company (a subsidiary of Alcast) in Galesburg as a Controller. She managed financial reporting, customer service, HR, and other responsibilities. She then served as Controller for Alcast Company during the Ligon acquisition overseeing both Alcast and Aluminum Castings Company.
In her most recent position, Christine was promoted to VP of Finance and Business Resources at Alcast Company. In this role, she functions as a business partner with the plant management team and corporate team, ensuring that all processes, systems, and personnel support the business effectively and efficiently. Christine leads the financial staff to ensure the completeness and accuracy of financial statements and oversees internal business support teams, including purchasing, information systems, and customer service. She also supports the operations staff to ensure customer needs are met.
